Speedpro were awarded the initial concrete package for the Southern Portal Outbound for the West Gate Tunnel Project. Our contract included the FRP of over 4,000m2 of base slabs up to 1,600mm thick, FRP single sided perimeter walls up to 8 metres high, casting in off all drainage pipes and miscellaneous retaining walls and footings. In total we will tie around 1,500 tonne of reinforcement, pump place and finish 9,000m3 of concrete and FRP around 1,700m2 of walls.

These pictures are from our first pour with a concrete volume of 600m3. The pour started at 6am with the last load unloaded shortly after 1pm. A great job from our team on such a tight and constraint site.
